Charles (Chad) T. Price, M.D.
Dr. Price is rated as One of America's Top Doctors. He was raised in Central Florida, received a B.S degree from Emory University in Atlanta where he was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honorary scholastic society. He graduated from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Florida. Following residency, he completed a pediatric orthopedic fellowship at the Scottish Rite Hospital in Atlanta and he has actively practiced pediatric orthopedic surgery in Orlando since 1977.
Dr. Price is a pediatric orthopedic surgeon and faculty member of the orthopedic residency program at Orlando Health. He is a Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Central Florida, College of Medicine. Dr. Price has authored or co-authored over 60 scientific research papers, numerous book chapters, and served a editor for several orthopedic textbooks and periodicals. He is on the editorial board of several prestigious journals and is considered the World’s authority on forearm and distal radius fractures in children. He is also a leading authority on non-operative treatments for scoliosis, and management of Perthes’ Disease, a hip disorder in children.
Dr. Price is also Director of the International Hip Dysplasia Institute (IHDI), where he leads an international group of orthopedic surgeons in efforts to improve prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of hip dysplasia, the most common abnormality in newborn infants and a frequent cause of hip arthritis in adults. He is principal investigator and coordinator for a multi-national clinical trial for treatment for infant hip dislocations.
Most recently, Dr. Price is a Certified Sports Nutritionist by the American Sports and Fitness Association.
